I heard on the radio a couple of weeks ago that HMRC routinely ignore letters, fail to log calls etc. So I'm going to ignore them.

Re the first - people do get letters from HMRC asking what their address is.
It's a bit of a pain when they don't realise it has arrived via their employer, and reply with smart comments that don't include their address...
